Problem with clogging low idel jets over & over, dealer recommends leaving them out completely - is this okay to do? How will it run, idle, smoke, gas consumption or is this not a good idea?

sounds like you need to clean up your fuel system and install filters. I would not think it would run without the jets to meter the fuel

lets just look at this in a really simple manner, do you reckon the jets would be there at all if the motor would run reliably without them? it may run for sure, but if it did, then the carby where the jet fits will get blocked, and will need to be replaced, or do you plan on removing that as well?

Well, I don't think the contamination issue is that bad, but I agree you can't run this nearly right by removing them. A long time Yamaha dealer recommended this, again I just wanted to hear from others if anyone had done this. I have heard of drilling the holes bigger but not by much, your right a good fuel system cleaning, new fuel lines and good gas is what this needs.
