Yamaha 70 Power Trim Problem

My power trim stopped working all of a sudden. Both from the cowling and the throttle switch I just get a loud click from the engine. Engine is currently 95% way down.

Where is the best place to start checking?

Follow the wires from the PTT motor which should take you to the PTT RELAY. One wire should be blue the other green. Make a jumper harness and jump directly to your battery. Blue to + , green to - , or vise versa. Now the motor should move the PTT ram. If it doesn't probably bad motor.

If the PTT now works, Then check all your connections especially grounds. You probably have a bad relay. Follow the directions in your yamaha service manual for troubleshooting just to be sure.
