I have a Yamaha 9.9 hp F9.9MSH2K. Can I convert it to a 15 hp? The only difference I noticed scanning the parts lists is the carburetor. The serial number is 66NK S 1000483 K. Thanks.

dunno
your model number is a bit different than US market motors.
in the US for many years the only difference was the reed box assy.
the 9.9 ran 2 reeds and the 15 ran 3.

My engine is a 2006 American 4-stroke. F in the model number means 4-stroke; thus no reed valves. It is the model that the 9.9 and 15's were the same block. Thanks for the response though.
