Yamaha 9.9 won'tstart

Even though my 2001 Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke started fine last year, it does not start at all this year. When the electric start is pushed, nothing happens,not even a sound.This was winterized by my boatyard.Also over the winter, I had the lever for the tilt-motor mechanism fixed so that the lever would stay down by itself. They had to take apart the motor to do this. This doesn't seem related to a power problem,Butdoesanyonehaveany ideas. What should theboatyard mechanic be looking for? Gerry

Gerry,

Have him check the won't-start-in-gear-safety-switch.
The starter won't turn the motor over if it is in gear.
Just a thought.
