Hi,
I just purchased a 1992 scout 172 with a 90hp yamaha on it (90trlq) and havent yet had the chance to pick up the manual for it. I was flushing the motor today and noticed a stream of water coming out of a rectangular hole that is about 1/4 x 1" at the top front of the lower unit...is water supposed to be coming from there when its on the muffs? any help would be really appricated.
Thanks

Re: Yamaha 90 Water question

I wouldn't worry about it as long as you have a steady stream coming out of the "pee" hole on right rear side of engine cowl. I have a 90C Yamaha and water seems to come out of several different locations while it's running. Hope you have good luck with your motor!
