Been watching this forum a while and cant seem to find my answer so I will post this question to the forum.
Last summer I picked up a 1992 Scout 172 with a Yamaha 90hp TLRQ on it. Boat worked great except that it would foul the number 1 plug after about 12 hours of running. I thought perhaps it was a misadjusted float in that carb so I figured I would just rebuild them over the winter and that would fix it. I just pulled the carbs and disasembled them and the #1 carb looks like it has premix in the bowl...the others dont look like that...my question is why would this look like premix in just that one carb? I thought the oil injection happened after the carbs? Could this be a leak in the fuel pump causing this? help....im lost now
