Yamaha Boat ID- HIN might as well be Chinese...

Actually the boat is from Japan i am pretty Sure so it might be in chinese...

I spent months trying to find a boat that even looked like this one so i could try to identify with no luck, It LOOKS almost identical to the Chris craft Catalina, However the differences are enough that i couldnt say for sure.

Once i started taking thing apart so i can repair it i found a plate that says Yamaha INC. or something like that with some numbers that i believe are the HIN numbers and models. But i Cannot find ANYTHING on line that will allow me to search the Hull models and the HIN i dont think is like anything we have in the U.S. in the US....

1 Plate says the following

JP-MLIT0114728B

the other says-

Yamaha Motor CO.
TYPE- SO-800 Max PS 170 x 2

Number
0100005

I am assuming the JP means JAPAN (working in the heat might have fried my brain but i am pretty sure thats logical since i am in Japan)

But that other stuff is a complete mystery to me.... Any Ideas????

Quick Update, I still have no clue how to read the HIN, but doing a yamaha search i maged to find the FR-25 series which looks dangerously similar, However they are all outboard engines this has dual Sterndrives.......

The PS 170 x 2 is the maximum HP x 2. In otherwords, 170 HP x 2 since you have dual stern drives. Because that is stated as the maximum power, that does not mean that's what is actually installed. The numbers on the engines and drives tell you that. The hull ID identifies the boat and you need the decoder to determine the model, serial, plant, and year. The Type is the power system type and has nothing to do with the boat itself.

Well thats a start, i just need a decoder...

But it has Twin Mercruiser 165 HP inline 6 engines, so i am good there.
