Hi guys, I'm kinda new to boating and read this forum a lot to try to keep up with things. I like to stay on top of the prev. maintenance and have been seeing posts about adding a fuel water seperator. The one I see most frequently is the racor 320r-rac-01 with a 10 micron filter. Is this the right choice for my 02 f115? Where should it be mounted, and do you need any additional hardware to do it? Right now all I have is the stock filter under the cowl. Should the 4 st. 9.9 kicker be fitted with one also or can you run both engines from one filter?
While researching this subject I've seen other helpful posts like keeping the motor tilted up during storage to prevent fuel from getting in the oil. Any other suggestions of things like this I should be doing or maintenance that should be performed would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the long post and basic questions but this boat has to last me a looooonnnngggg time!
Thanks, Scott
