Looking at replacing my fuel lines, primer to seperator and to the engine filter. On the schematic of the motor it shows a hose coming off the filter to a baffle, then another piece, grommet to the bulb.

Anyone know what the baffle is for? I read somewhere someone saying they just plum from the bulb straight to the filter if replacing.

The OEM fule lines and baffle are crazy expensive so I could just lay in a new piece all the way.

Thanks

Do you really need to replace your fuel lines? My 1999 original equipment Yamaha fuel lines seem to be pretty much like new, no cracks or leaks.

Just trying to track down a performance issue. These look "ok" but have been outside for years. Clamps are a little rusted. Fittings ont he seperator a little corroded. Seems like an easy "preventative maintenance" measure after 6 years.(Boat new to me, not sure what the previous owner ran in it)

What's your performance issue?...maybe the fuel lines are fine and problem is elsewhere, like dirty carbs, bad fuel pump, or other. Good Luck!
