Hello guys! Frist post her, thanks for a lot of good reading on yamaha engenes service and maintenance. I just wanted to Ask a simple question sience i couldnt find anything online.

i have a 2009 yamaha f115 and i think it has a lot more valve noise than im used to. I recently changed from f50 to f115. How often are valves adjusted?

Also i notice some air pressure from the oil level pin if i open IT when its running. Normal?

Also: does the marking on the timing belt tell us the production year of the belt?

The markings on the camshaft drive belt do not indicate the production year of the belt.

The latest F115 owner's manual calls for an inspection of the valve clearances every 5 years or 500 hours, which ever occurs first. More than likely the valve clearances will be within specifications.

A lobe on the cam shaft drives a fuel pump. I suspect that might be what you are hearing.

It is normal for some blowby to come from the crank case. It is normally vented to the air intake system so that any fumes can be burned with the combustion gases.
