Though due to some money hangups holding the boat purchase up a bit longer
than I'd like it to,I am NOT giving up at all on my A-14 Lund utility boat I want so darn bad. That said,I am strongly considering Yamaha or Suzuki power. I
have heard that the Yamaha portable outboards are better in some respects
than Suzuki, which is why Yamaha has first choice for power on this type of
boat. I am going four stroke for sake of better fuel economy. The motor will
have to be a short shaft as the A-14 Lund has a 15" transom. I am a Lund
guy through and through and will not consider any other brand of utility boat
at all,as I had an A-14 before until I got really dumb and traded it for a camper
that was used only one time in the two lousy years I had the darn thing. The
camper is gone now. Anyway, back to my original subject. Which motor would
you say is best? I read an article in another boating related magazine that said
the Suzuki vibrated more than the Yamaha during a test. That prompted me to
choose Yamaha. Your thoughts?
