I have a (now heres part one of the problem...the manf. date is 00' so that means the make is a 01'...just like cars?) Yamaha 2 Stroke 130 HP engine.

I got everything down pretty solid on the list. 1) New plugs gapped at 1mm 2) New drive oil 3) New filters 4) Zincs are fine so...

The only thing Im not sure about is the water pump impeller? Iv'e heard about it alot and that it needs to be replaced and I could chage it out...if I knew where it was and what parts I need. Help? Thanks.

Re: Yamaha - Getting Ready for the New Season

The impellar is a rubber unit that sits in the waterpump housing that pumps the water through the motor for cooling ..... it is in the lower unit of the motor, and you would need to take the lower unit off to get to it .... if the pee stream is still nice and firm then you can leave it although it is said to replace the impellar every year ....
