Yamaha I/o key hole cut question?

Is the key hole for Yamaha i/o's the same as a Mercruiser?
If not another manufactures or will I need to flii in the transom and recur to replace the drive.

I believe the transom keyhole is within trimmin' distance between Yamaha, 'n Mercruiser.....

Thanks Bondo! Ive been a member of THT and FS for a long time (fishing information) now. I am repairing two boats one with a stringer and deck re-do and a 22' with this yahama drive its just quarter and dollar ing me to death I am looking for a donner boat to rob the inner and outer plates for a mercruiser conversion.

Sell yer Yamaha for parts,... there's still fools out there, tryin' to keep 'em runnin'....
