Re: YAMAHA I/O PARTS (CAPT. KEN)
Dang, frigging Yamaha I/O's. At least you have the parts for yours. I have one back in the shop now that I'm ready to pull what's left of my hair out on. Dang thing came from Ft Walton with them just thinking it needed a drive couplier. Yeah, right, like there wasn't a reason the couplier gave up the ghost. The outdrive was full of water and the bearings froze up. The housing looks like it came up from the Titanic and the corrosion was holding hands to keep it together. Some of the parts I have on hand, some Yamaha has and some are non existence. I have a used lower unit I could lay on him but he'll have a heart attack, then I still have to rebuild the upper. I still have to convert the drive couplier on the flywheel. Oh well, there goes his children's college fund. As for the guys working on yours Bart. I understand where they are coming from. They don't want go where no man has gone before. At least no man from their shop.
