Am putting things back together on a 703 control. Replaced the ignition/ start switch and can not get the starter to engage. I do not know if this was a problem before the boat was pulled or not. Switch is a simple off-on-start, with no push to choke, with 5 wires. Wire colors are black--white--red--green--yellow. Can someone tell me what these wires control? Have the manual for my F 115 which has the same switch with my 704 controls but is of no help.
So far with the switch on, I am able to operate the choke toggle switch and the tach jumps.
ID tag says that I am working on a 94, 40 hp. commercial 3 cyl. when in fact the power head is a 40 with 2 cylinders with both rope and elect. start. Tough to figure this thing out. Wire going to energize the start relay is RED. thanks FRED

wire that energizes the start relay is brown, red is switch power supply.
how many pins are in the main harness plug on the engine?
if 10 or 8 its the same as your 115 diagram.
