Hi folks,

Hoping someone out there can help me? Looking to replace my current gauge set up with the yamaha multi function gauges. Not sure which package fits my setup.

Motor is a 2004 150 TXRC, 2str. I'm looking to undestand which gauges fit this motor and whether or not there are any adapters or special wiring harness needed. I've been told by others that certain year model guage sets require a speical adapter harness dependent on the year model of your motor.

Can the guages be purchased from Yamaha directly or do you need to go through a dealer ? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Re: Yamaha MF gauges

here again we have no idea of what you currently have nor the control box used.
a basic digital tach setup will need the trim/oil alarm harness,the6y5 tach and the power supply harness.
its cheaper to buy the single engine rigging kit than just the tach.
kit will have the above harness.
for speed function you will need the above kit and a speedometer kit.
the tach will show oil, overheat, engine hours since the tach was installed, trip hours(resettable) and trim angle.
your 04 model wont accept the new 6y8 command link stuff.
make a trip by your local yamaha dealer and ask to look at an 04 or 05 rigging guide and it has every detail you can imagine.
the 06-07 rigging guide also has some information about which rigging kits fit which engines and the year model breaks.
