I've got a 1989 yam 40 horse and want to add power trim and tilt. Is this a job for the professional or can a shade tree boat motor junkie handle it ... also which would be better ..the oem tilt and trim unit or an aftermarket rig?? thanks..any suggestions welcomed...

Re: yamaha power trim

You will need the entire clamp bracket assembly to change it over. There is an aftermarket one on eBay now starting bid to be $100.00.
