Yamaha Sync and Link of Carb's

Can someone please explain to me, with some details, what it means to "Synch and Link" Carb's?<br /><br />I have a friend who is rebuilding his Carb's, but is concerned with just putting them back on the block.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />John

The process is to ensure that all carbs open the same amount at the same time. Also to be sure they open all of the way. Best done with a manual. Boatsetup.com does provide a link to Yamaha service manuals. Print out the page and have it in hand when going through the process..
