Yamaha Tachometer Replacement Question

Greetings,
I have a tach that needs to be replaced. I believe my original tach is a 6Y5-8350T-90 that is obsolete and can be replaced by 6Y5-8350T-DO but cost ~$260.
(Motor = 2005 Yamaha 175 HPDI VZ175TLRZ)
A local repair guy has 2 Yamaha tachs that I can get a lot cheaper....so my question is can I use either Option1 or Option 2 to replace my original?

Option1: 6Y8-8350T-11 (LCD Face but has a connector plug on back and my original does not??)

Option2: Part number not sure but it is a Needle gauge with black face and orange numbers (0-7 x 1000rpm) with 3 warning light ports G / Y / R that i believe to be water and oil temp lights. This gauge has a GREEN AND BLACK pair of wires attached to a port and a BLUE AND BLACK pair of wires attached to another port. The warning light ports are empty....can I take these lights out of my existing gauge?

Can I use either Option 1 or Option 2 to replace my original gauge?

I attempted to upload 5 pictures..
Existing Gauge Front and Rear View
New needle gauge Front and Rear View
New LCD gauge in box with Model Number.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Just trying to save a dollar if possible.

from what little I know about yamaha tachs. you need to replace like for like as the tachs are specific to the architecture of the motor.

$260 is much less than what most boat things cost.

Thanks for the reply Scott...
Understood about the cost much less than what most boat things cost.
It's the $260 after spending $5k on rebuilt powerhead and a few other $300-500 items.
Trying to help stop the bleeding!!

what is wrong with you tach?

if just not able to see the screen, there is a guy that can repair that. might even have some fixed already for you to by. need to do a web search for him.

Bosco99 might be helpful in saying what will work.

most tachs are adjustable to different motors,
they have switches or dip switches for setting

I talked with an UncleBob repair guy and he said the LCD is no good. It cant be fixed. Unfortunately, he did not have any replacements at this time. I’ll keep an eye out for a less expensive direct replacement. Thanks for comments.
