Yamaha Tilt and Trim

I have a 1990 90 HP Yamaha. The tilt and trim work but the motor will not stay in position. When I trim it up while running, it will slowly return to the down position. Also, when I trim the motor all the way up, it will slowly lower itself. I do not see any obvious leaks??? Please Help!!!!!!

Welcome to iboats.<br /><br />Find the manual relief screw on the side of one of the clamp brackets (Starboard side I think) and make sure it's snug. You might try cracking it loose and retightening. Also check the fluid level with the motor tilted fully up. Failing those, the problem is internal and probably best left to a dealer.
