Yamaha & Tohatsu 9.n HP

I noticed Yamaha has followed Tohatsu's lead in making a lighter 9.9 HP 4 stroke. Any feedback on their 9.9 entry? Or how it compares with Tohatsu/Nissan/Merc?

I haven't seen a light frame Yamaha, but I'm sure it's just as good as ours.

I'm guessing you're right. If I do the upgrade from my old 9.5, I'll likely go with the tohatsu. Hard to beat those internet prices and I have service centers < 30 miles from home and from lake cabin. Plus, your on-line expertise is, well, a plus.

Guess I have to decide to cast my fate with the old motor or bite the bullet with my economic stimulus.
