yamaha vs johnson

I just picked older Ranger boat and have a choice of putting on either a late 80s johnson 150gt or a early 90s yamaha 150 precision blend motor any thoughts

Both good engines. I would put the Johnny on her.

I too would put the Johnson on, since you are more likely to find parts. I am not sure if Yammys use metric fasteners or not....since I have mostly SAE tools I'd stick with that .
