Hello,
My computer shut down when I was posting so please excuse me if this is on here twice. Anyway, I have a 1988 Yamaha 200 hp. The last two times I have been out the warning buzzer sounds for approximately 1 second when I hit the ignition to start the motor. It shuts off immediately after. I have put plenty of hours on the motor and it has never done this in the past. the oil level sensor has been zip tied up for a long time now and does not appear to have dropped so I can't imagine that this is the problem. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: Yamaha Warning Buzzer Issue

I'm having an issue with the Warning buzzer on my 20yr old 90Hp Yamaha. I was running about 4800RPM and the buzzer went off. I cut the motor off and let it sit for about 15 minutes. When I started it back up it ran fine. I kept it down below 2500 and got it home. Any ideas???

Re: Yamaha Warning Buzzer Issue

Just a late follow up on my issue. It turned out that my oil injection was disonected (which I knew). The oil in the onboard tank on the engine got low. When the boat would hit waves it would sloch and cause the warning sensor to drop in the tank. This triggered the motor to shut down cylinders intermitently (like it is suppose to do). Simply ziptied up the sensor in the oil tank and two years later have still never had the problem again.
