Hello,
The standard warranty on my F115 will run out in 2 weeks. I have put 184 hours on it in 3 years. Thus far I have had no problems at all with the motor. I recieved an application form today from Yamaha to enroll in their extended warranty program: 3 years for $1,100. Obviously, only hindsight will tell if getting an extended warranty was a good idea or not but I would like some feed back from anyone who has encountered any warranty related issues with their F115 in it's 4th, 5th or 6th year who were either glad they had the extended coverage or wished they had got it. Thanks...W

Re: Yamaha Y.E.S. Warranty

The YES warranty was offered at purchase for free if I took a motor out of dealer inventory. Said yes, to YES. For an F150. As I'm beginning to understand the issues around four-stroke usage, I'm glad I did. My motor spends a LOT of time trolling at 1.7-2kn in cold water. Good thing the best spots are 18 miles out. 4500rpm all the way out and back...sometimes max, especially in October. 284 hours this season...and it ain't done yet.
