Hi guys, for the last year I have had problems with my 2004 Yamaha Z200TXRC surging and missing. It happens when I run the engine for about 5 minutes at full throttle. The engine will start to miss it seems like and surge with power. If I back the throttle off and try to get back to full throttle the engine will surge horribly and not able to get back on plane. If I shut the engine down for a couple minutes it will seem to reset itself and I will be able to run it normal for another 5 minutes or so till it starts the problem again. I have replace all fuel lines, cleaned out all the tanks as well as replaced plugs and all filter in the fuel system. I noticed yesterday that once the engine starte to surge and miss that if I hit the trim/tilt button on the throttle it would stop surging. I would not have to move the engine higher or lower it was just the mere pushing of the trim/tilt button and the problem seemed to be resolved. I beleive it is an electrical problem at this time but was wondering where to start looking. Mechanics have been no help and I am about at my wits end with this engine.
