yamha 115 oil injection

When I first put my boat in the water the small oil resvoir for the injection system sometimes overflows. After cleaning up the mess, it works fine the rest of the day.<br />Any thoughts?<br />Thanks

I have the same problem with a 1986 Yamaha 115hp. Talked to one person who was not a Yamaha mechanic but he thought the problem is the oil sending unit mounted below the tank on the engine. Let me know if you find out something else.

Hey guys,<br /><br />I had this problem also. I thought it was the oil sending unit, so I went to pre-mix and disabled the unit. My motor was also running rough and fouling plugs. Motor runs better than ever, with no mess.

MGeorge How did you go about disconnecting the syatem?? I would like to do the same to mine but have been told that I might have jet problmes because the yammies don't ever mix oil with the fuel. <br />Thanks<br />You can email me at macojoe2000@yahoo.com

Ya'lls problem is with the float sensor in the engine tank. It has three switches and the top switch turns the pump off. Either your float doesn't go to the top (alot of us have that problem) or the switch is bad. The reason it will over oil the engine is the overflow tube dumps the oil into the breather and the lower cylinders gets the load.

So what is the answer to the ?? about disableing the injection?? If I just disconect the remote tank it will run out of oil but how do you stop the alarm from going off?? I am now having the same problem. And after reading all the post I want to mix. So someone please Help!! Thanks
