I've been noticing that the thrust on my 9.9 hasn't been the same for awhile, thought it was just the currents /wind ect. today put it in forward and no prop movement..is it possible the pinion forward gear could be toast? how do i check that? with the motor out of the water when i put in forward it seems like the gears mesh when i try to turn the prop...... could it be that the pinion is slipping with forward and letting the prop turn but not at the rmps it should? help.....
