Yammy 115 2 Stroke Questions

Was over at the Yammie site just now and saw little mention of 115 2 strokes. Any ideas? Thinking about changing badge on my boat and I like the V-4 loop design of the 115 2 stroke. Problem is, can't find any for sale, nor any that have problems in the problems forum, which is great news if they aren't there because of lack of problems. Did they not make that many over the years?

I had a Yamaha 115HP 2 stroke for several years with no problems at all. Guess with the new 4 stroke motors, good 2 strokes may become harder to find, but keep lookin', you'll find a good one!

I have a 115 Yamaha 2 stroke and I really like it. Runs great, great oiling system. It will get my 18 foot bow rider to 45 mph with 3-4 aboard. Lift control button on motor is great when you are working back there no need to run to the front and use lift on throttle lever.
The 130 is the same family of motor.

I have a 1986 Yamaha 115 on my 98 24 foot Crestliner pontoon. It is not perfect, but its a good running and so far very dependable motor. It is also slightly quieter than my Johnson 115. With just cleaned pontoons on flat water I have run at 31 mph on gps with the motor and boat. I have been told that Yamaha initially under rated the motors hp but do not know that its true. I do know that as long as you use it every 2 to 3 weeks it starts easily and runs well. Once it is warn you just bump the switch to get it started. I like the Yamaha's a lot and would get another one in a heartbeat.
