Anyone know where I can get an exploded view of the 9.9 4 stroke carb? It's the TeiKei one.1988 6g800. Been looking everywhere to no avail. Bought a rebuild kit today and they didn't include one, that was from a Yamaha dealer too. Any help would sure be appreciated. Strange carb, even stranger when looking at all the pieces!

That carb is a mad scientist's nightmare, I suggest that you get a Service Manual. That's what I had to do. :(

Re: Yammy 9.9 4 stroke carb info

Thank's for the info guy's. Does anyone know how that air valve is fitted? Looks to be just pressed on with an o-ring in between. I disassembled this carb along time ago, and the float pin perches ( for a lack of a better term) were repaired. After I soaked the carb body they weren't! The solvent ate the jb-weld they used, probably was gas tank epoxy, at least that's what I used to repair the repair. Apparently people break these all the time? Anyway, I'm back on track determined to get my 9.9 running again. Thank's again, as for the manual suggestion, can't agree more. Unfortunately I don't care for those clymer/seloc's , prefer a real yamaha book and never scored one.

After blowing up the pic, I could see the clamp that's used to hold it in place. Similar to a distributor hold down. Wer'e go to go now, thanks again. Btw, had a helluva time cleaning out one of the ports. Used brake kleen and tapped it with a 3/8 extension. Add more brake kleen, tap repeat over and over. Till I got the brake kleen past the air and to the clog, then some compressed air, viola! We don't need no stinking ultrasound cleaner!
