Re: Yea or nay? (w/pics)

you try making the blade all look the same shapen edge not a shape difference from prop blade to blade no vib's at speed means its very close to right, stearing feal to when jacking motor up feal is everything, to me I have had a broken wrist the vib's show signs of problem! no vib's no problem's there if speed in rpm is right in engine like a v,6 evenrude 5,500 or so I have turned it to 5800 in short birsts, rpm goes to high thing tend to come a part quickly
try taking digs out with vice gripes on stainless steel, alum, need a machine shop work mig welder to fill in missing chunks and grinder

my own fealing on prop care

It looks like to me the protecting anode has been spray painted

The trim-tab, in this case, is not the anode. The anode is located above the cav (AV) plate on this and many OMC engines.
And Dave, sorry I missed this...If it were mine, I'd have it repaired....I see one blade that has been bent in 2 different directions.
The straighter you can maintain the blades, the less wear there will be on the lower unit/gears.

And the cup is worn to the point that it ends rather abruptly.

Thanks guys. It runs so smooth/vibration free I wasn't sure if it needed attention yet or not. Guess it does. A prop shop shouldn't charge THAT much to straighten/reshape the blades should it?

Std repair will likely run 75-125 on SS props...unless they have a special deal if no welding is required....
