i just baught a mercury motor serial number 3726212 i cant find out what year or the gas to oil mixture ratio can anyone help

info i have is a 1973 mercury 1500 (150hp) 50:1 ratio

thank you for your help it is a 1973 mercury 40 hp this site is a great help everytime. is it hard to replace a starter on this motor?
