My grandfather left me a 1971 Dolphin 12' boat with a Evinrude Lark motor. Can someone tell me what the year it is and the horse power. The numbers on the motor are:<br />M 40072A<br />E 01538<br />Thanks
Most of the Larks were 35 or 40hp models from the late 1950s, into the 1960s. I think Evinrude revisited the Lark name in the 1970s on the 2-cylinder 50hp looper. A model number would help here...<br />- Scott
