year and hp please

please help me with the year and hp for this motor<br />model rk28b<br />ser j2685822<br />i got this motor free. it has no remote, would it be feasible to get a new remote, or make something work?<br />thanks

That's a 1966 40HP Johnny, trackersocha.<br /><br />Plugs are Champion J4C gapped at .030", set the mag points at .020"<br /><br />Fuel mix is 50:1.<br /><br />You should be able to find remote controls on ebay or at tcoutboard.com.<br /><br />Good luck.
