I have this old motor that came off an old sailboat. The engine runs but has low compression in the top cylinder. Hard to find parts if I don't know what it is. :) All I know is that it's an OMC and it's small.

btw cajun66, what kind of motors are you running on the boat in your avatar, twin 25s? Cool! How do you have the controls set up?

Yea, it was twin 25s. The steering was easy as I just slaved the left engine off the right. I used shift cables from a Gradall excavator for the gear changes, and paired a set of throttle cables. It looked and sounded cooler than it worked. Prop steer was terrible as the boat was only 14 feet long. It didn't stay that way long. Did it for kicks more than anything else.

Took the head off and I can still see the crosshatch on the lower cylinder. The top cylinder is pitted in the sleeve at the top of the piston's stroke. Sure hope I can find parts.....

That's alright. I always like seeing what people come up with. Shame about the prop steer, but I bet it was real good at turning right and quickly with two 25's.
