I have a Mercury / Kiekhaefer 1150 115hp Outboard with serial no: 1893171 and would like to know the year so I can buy a repair manual. Also, which repair manual is the best or are they pretty much all created equal?
It's about impossible to tell with the cowling on but I wonder it someone has changed the cowlings, I have cked 2 more sources and come up with the same data on numbers. Pictures of the intake port side and distrubter would help--Bob
That is not a 115 is was built before 1967 so it is probably a late 100 or early 110, all inline 6s were CD ignition after 1966 and some 66 engines were CD with pts. and that engine is conventional ign. sorry for the bad news---Bob
is it a US engine
