Hello I just bought a 4o foot boat trailer and have the regesterion with a Vin# on it I am trying to find what make so that i can also find the weight capiaity the sticker is gone on the trailer. every company I call tell me its to old for them to have records its a 1995 the ouner told me it has 7,000 lb axles x 3= 21,000 lb. load rite said the only make a 18,000 lb no 21,000 lb how can i find more info on this trailer.

p.s. the regesterion has lo/ri on it thats why i think its a load rite.

Ayuh,.... Find the weight ratin' on the Tires, 'n add 'em together....

So long as the bearin' diameters, 'n axles are up to the tires,...

That's yer trailer rating...

Or, pull a wheel, 'n see what the axles measure...

Btw,... Make, 'n model, don't mean squat,...
Boat trailers are just piles of other people's parts...

so if the tires are rated at 2,880 thats X 6 = means its rating is no more than 17,280 lbs that i know right of the bat, she has torsion bar suppension no springs so that a tuff one the axles are 3" X 3" X 80" long, next i will pull a tire and measure the spindle size, but most sites i see are all rated up to like 10,000 lbs 28 foot to 34 foot you dont see to many 40 footers and the sites are far and few well thanks Bob
