Year / Model Clarification

I just purchased a 1984 Four Winns Liberator, The engine has been replaced and I am try to figure out what year / model the engine is.

The Number on the plate right near the starter says: K282550, I have looked at the chart which shows what years where made from when to when, but I am still a little confused.

You may want to remove flame arrester and take a few pictures and post. Members could help id what might have been swapped from old motor (if anything), that could save you some frustration down the road.

I will try and get some detailed photos tomorrow, and will post them. That would be great, because I am sure some parts were taken from the old motor and I won't have any idea which ones they are.

Thanks for the initial 1997 identification. The seller told me it was a 1994 so to hear that it's a 97 is exciting... it is in pretty good shape.
