Regarding the year of the boat, if I were you, I'd phone customer service for Bayliner at 360-435-5571 in Arlington, Washington. You can give them the info and hopefully they can give you the information you need, as well as send you an owner's manual for free.
In doing a 'google' search for bayliner mutiny, looks like they ranged from mid/late 70's to the mid 80's. I don't see any listed on the Bayliner site (http://www.baylinerparts.com/) which only goes back to 1994.
As for the engine, sounds like a Volva penta 270 (not sure if this is an inboard?). I typed in the sn that you posted here (http://www.volvo.com/volvopenta/na/en-us/marineengines/pub_search/) but came up with nothing.
Maybe it's one of the listed Sterndrive 270(s) listed here: http://www.volvo.com/volvopenta/na/en-us/marineengines/outofproductionengines/gasengine/sterndrive/.
I would email Volvo with the number you found if you don't have any luck.
