Year of engine please ....

Can someone please tell me what year this motor is .... on the plate is says: Model no 80692C & Serial 1523 ..... it seems to be a very old 80hp Evenrude I found in an old garage, still in mint condition ... also what would this be worth?

looks to be a 1966 model. 1466.6cc, 109.1kg, have you ran a compression check yet?

it is probably an electric shift, which with out controls, the value drops. as you know others depend on condition, and if it is operational. see awakening a sleeping outboard in the FAQ.
