Year of Manufacture Mariner 40hp

i am trying to find the year of manufacture for the following serial no
6e9s010155

Been told it is a 40hp MS tiller standard shaft

looks to be late 80's in design.

any help would be appreciated and any experiences with this motor good or bad, or common problems??
Anyone know how much it weighs also??
