Year of manufacutre not shown in tables

Hi,


i have an old 50hp Mercury engine (oil injected) and have followed all the threads telling me how to work out the year

i have located the serial number sticker but rthe tables showing what numbers are what years are all 7 digits long (and so is mine) but the top out with numbers starting with a 6 and or are starting with a letter

my number is 9517820 so i dont know how to work it out

the sticker is definately serial number

All s/ns beginning with a 9 were made in Belgium.

Is yours a three or four cylinder?
