Year of Motor

I have what I think is a 89 Evinrude motor, but I am not 100% sure.

It looks like the Model # is E28ESLEI (but could be wrong)
Serial # G2654134

Is there a way to find the detials of the motor.

Any help would be appreciated.

If the last two characters are correct (EI) it is a 1991

Welcome to iboats. Do yourself an educational favor and spend some time reading the faq's. Docktalk is the ticket to find your year and HP.
The next action I would take is to acquire a repair manual for your given motor. If it is a '91, your dealer can get it for you. Or you can check out
