Year of motor??

Hey guys I need help finding out the year of my motor. It is a mariner 40 hp outboard. Serial number is 150252, the model number is 40EO and the code is 6E9 S. I cant find anything on it and I know nothing about it. Does it need Yamaha parts? If yall could let me know the year and any other information I need to know about it that would be great. Oh and it says made in Japan. thanks
