Re: year of my engine?

How about all these waterpump, ignition and fuel pump questions? Or VRO questions?
All questions about fault diagnosis, winterizing and so on? We can't have that either.

Let's skip the first steps: determine the year, get the manual and order the parts. Right? :(

Hi, GeeGee.

We are here for boaters who don't know something and want to know. That means novices as well as experts.

Unfortunately, many of them are not computer veterans either, or they would simply do a search and have their answers.

If we discourage new boaters and new members from asking questions that you seem to feel are too basic we wouldn't be the best site on the internet.

Now, suppose we turn your idea around and propose a forum for experts only? Would you go for that?

Re: year of my engine?

Good point, JB. I'm one of the newbies with limited experience, and I don't mind reading repetitive posts to get to the one that helps me.

As for the expert board, count me out. This one's plenty complicated with all this experience at hand.

And guys, thanks for the help over the past several weeks!

gee gee,
I was about to reply earlier as I thought you had that in mind. Sorry if I sounded ironic (I was acually). ;)
I just found this, one of the topics about splitting to more sections:
Topic: Changes and Merging of forums

:)

Hey G -
just don't open the topic - it really isn't too difficult to skip over the topics you don't want to read about. Again.
