I just looked up that motor on e-bay. I'd be surprised if it only brings $100. But go for it if you can.
From what I can see in the ad, it looks like it is in good condition.....unless there is that unknown/unseen hidden problem.
That 1963 was the last year that Gale made the Sea Kings. Those were real good motors. Figure on replacing the coils and water pump at a minimum. The coils are probably why it won't stay running. Also, I recommend pulling the powerhead and replacing the lower crankshaft seal. They gave major problems in that area. And when the seal goes out, water gets into the crankcase and destroys the bearings. Believe me, I know...I was a Gale dealer mechanic at the time. But when everything is right you will have a great running and very dependable motor. Yes, it has a fuel pump.
