It is a mercury outboard<br />The model number to this motor is MK 20 LSS, and the serial number is 3313111

MK-20s were built 1953 to 56 I can't find any serial no. break down in those days a long shaft was really rare, so is probably a 15" shaft, I guess you could measure from the clamp to the cavition plate--Bob
