Yearly repair/maintenance costs?

Just curious on what would be considered reasonable repair/maintenance costs on your rigs. On first splash this spring, I'm already in for:
Plugs/Wires: $50
Carb Kit, misc gaskets: $85
Valve Spring: $20
Alternator Kit: $315
Manifold machining: $45
Oil/gear lube/filter: $30 (?)
Starter: $160

=$705

Ouch. I'm going to check and see what the total amount that I've spent on it is since I've owned the boat--this is my 4th season with it. I'm guessing all this would have cost at least another $1000 in labor...And no, it's not because it's a 470. The alt conversion is the first 470 specific repair I've done.

watching my kids catch huge rainbow trout and perch , and having a blast, PRICELESS!

some things , money can't buy............. so i refuse to quantify it with a price tag

now in all seriousness, Mike i would say you have done well, my friend

Ha! See the above list. Money is needed to buy, and (unfortunately) can be quantified. If I didn't think it was worth it, I wouldn't do it. Probably put 100-200 hours on the boat/season, so it definitely gets use. But my '01 car with >150k miles on it that I put 15k on so far in 1 year, has required $500 in initial repairs, $250 in tires, and $40 in oil. My wife's ('05) car has required nothing but a battery, a set of tires and oil since we bought it 50k miles ago in '07. Yeah, I know they're different animals, but still...
