Ok you guys.

Back when I joined this forum, after just buying this used boat, you told me to keep my stat (which I had removed because the old one stuck closed) and decarb (de what? had never heard of it). Well I resisted and finally, after a couple of months of membership I realized that you guys were in the know.

The stat has been back in for two trips out now and the decarb has had almost 2 months to do it's handywork....added it to the fuel, didn't do the crash cleanout.

So I was out yesterday...course the weather is considerably warmer than when I started, but none the less, she is (initially) starting much easier and idling much smoother...course I'm coming down from a I6 Merc to a 3 so there's a learning curve there too.

After stopping off at a fishing hole and moving on, it restarted every time with just a turn of the key at idle. That's the way it's supposed to work.

Thanks,

Mark

Well I would have certainly surmised that one of the big dogs would have hopped off the porch and jumped on this freebie. Well, maybe not.

Mark

My only I/O was nice and quiet; except in turns where the CV joint rattled but it just had those inherent problems (not mechanical per se) that made it more of a nuisance than an asset.

Mark
