I am a new boater, and I thought it be wise to purchase a good marine GPS. I'm a little brain dead when it comes to GPS's (I had a Garmin handheld unit many years ago for ATV'ing).
I purchased this unit:

Right now, all my boating will be along the MA/NH seacoast so I thought the 440S was a wise choice. I do have a couple quick quistions.... Is the "Blue Charts" really a good feature, and worth the money or is it just another gimmick ? Lastly, can I purchase the "Inland Lakes" software maps and load them into my unit? Thanks,
