Youtube video inside, please offer suggestions on clacking noise. Water shutters?

Hey guys, just bought this boat and have this randomly timed clacking noise towards the rear of the engine. It is a 1986 mercruiser 260 with alpha one drive. I think it is the metal on metal noise from the water shutters in the exhaust. Next thought is spark jump, and next gimbal bearing. Please let me know what you all think. The boat is 2 hours away so there is no quick way to do diagnostic tests, but if you have some please share. The noise is random in timing so I dont think it is the bearing.

You're on the right track with the noise being exhaust shutters.

Sounds like shutters to me. If you give it a little gas it will go away if its the shutters.
